If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I positively adore dogs. Every time I go to Seattle, I make a special point to see one very important pooch, Frankie. I’ve been in his life ever since he was a wee little pup and now, even though I live 3,000 miles away, I love to keep up with whatever insanity he’s gotten into — whether it’s still not knowing how to play fetch properly or shredding the mail. Here in Philly, it’s a bit tough for me to have a dog of my own, so I volunteer at a local shelter called Operation Ava on Friday and Saturday nights. No matter what mood I’m in, those pups ({and kitties!} perk me right up. Seriously, volunteering at the shelter is one of the most gratifying things I’ve ever done.
