two really good things

I’m getting back to basics with this pairing, folks. In weeks past, I got lazy and showed two actually related images. Not this week!

Today I want to talk about pattern. Specifically how Sonia Rykiel’s pre-fall collection is built on classic essentials with a twist of pattern. On the left (exhibit a?), we see a basic shirt/pant combo, but rendered in head-to-print. On the right (exhibit b?) is the gorgeous watercolor pillow from Imogen Heath. Both pillow and pantset share this inky, navy blue tone I have been loving lately. Set against an optic white ground, I am totally enamored with how the navy pops. It’s funny sometimes how something classic can feel fresh again.
