Greetings from sunny LA! I’m in town for the Design Bloggers Conference, but I chose to come a few days early to spend time with Anne of the City Sage. I have to say, it’s been a whirlwind! I got off the plane and immediately shed layers of wool to make way for a breezy woven top and open-toe (!!!!!) shoes. Aren’t my Prabal Gurung for Target wedges LA-perfect? Our first stop was The Pie Hole where I indulged in the double-crust apple pie and met the charming Rebecca Buenik. Also, we did some quick shopping at Poketo, where I fell in love with these Iacoli & McAllister necklaces. After that, it was off to a really charming picnic to meet Adrianna of A Cozy Kitchen (and her darling corgi pup!)… complete with a moon bounce! And that was all just Saturday!

Yesterday, Anne woke me at the literal crack of dawn to see the most gorgeous sky ever. Because we were up so early, we realized it was prime flea market time and headed to the Pasadena City College Flea where I went into must-hoard-treasures mode. I’m talking vintage textiles, a bi-centennial Jack in the Box mug, and the sweetest blush pink dish with gold feet. In the afternoon, I assisted Anne with a super fun project (more on that later…) in her apartment courtyard. Aren’t those grapefruits so amazing?? Finally, last night we headed to Universal City, aka neon central, for dinner sponsored by Lamps Plus as a kick off to the Design Bloggers Conference. I got to meet so many internet-friends (as I like to call my Twitter/Facebook buddies), I think my head is spinning!

Today we are off to the official start of the Design Bloggers Conference, so I’m pumped to meet more people and absorb it all. I hope you all had a great weekend!
