Every time I move to a new city, it feels like I have to reassess my beauty regimen. Different humidity levels, more time spent in the sun, heck, even different water quality — it all affects my skin and hair. I’ve been in San Francisco for about a month and I think I’ve come up with a beauty plan that is worth sharing:

L’Occitane Amande hand cream: Not only does this smell so freaking good, but it absorbs quickly. My hands feel incredible after I apply this. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this hand cream.

Swedish Dream Sea Salt Soap: I’m obsessed with all things nautical, but even without the great packaging, I’d love this soap. The fragrance is pleasant, but not overpowering. Plus, there are exfoliating bits in the bar, perfect for elbows and knees.

Josie Maran bohemian waves argan hair mist: Finally, a salt spray that doesn’t dry out my hair and smell like coconut. This stuff is legit, guys. Totally worth the price, a bottle will go a long way. Just use it sparingly because a little goes a long way (my heavy-handed first use was not so great…).

Johnson’s No More Tangles: You can’t argue with a classic. This stuff helps a wide tooth comb glide through my waves without making me want to cry.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse: The smell of this alone is worth it… but the way just a few drops leaves your skin feeling is just out of this world. I also use it sparingly on my hair if I’m feelin’ frizzy.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana: Talk about signature scent… I’ve finally found it! I am totally addicted to this fragrance. It’s got notes of sandalwood and vanilla, so it feels a bit familiar, but also a bit sensual. I freaking love it.

Aveda Dry Remedy Masque: My hair is pretty dry lately, probably because I haven’t had a trim since summer (oops). This stuff smells awesome, sort of like tea, but then also makes my hair feel so much less crunchy.

If you’ve got any other beauty faves, I’d love to hear them!

There’s nothing like a masque that works well with your hair! In that line, I personally prefer the hair oil, though :)

    • which hair oil do you use?

I’m currently using La Sana, a Japanese one, but I also like Aveda dry remedy oil and doing a coconut + olive oil hair masque too :) Have you tried any?

        • i’ve been using that aveda one, too! i got a sample and love the way it smells :)
