new apartment daydreaming

Wow, can we just discuss how crazy the past week has been? As in, I moved into my apartment, received all of my stuff from the movers, started unpacking, stopped unpacking, started making an Ikea shopping list… everything. Oh, and I still do not have wifi in my apartment which makes blogging soooort of tricky. I guess it forces me to really tackle all those boxes, huh?

Anyways, I’ve been brainstorming ways to make this apartment feel totally different from my last place in Philly. I absolutely loved that apartment, but I want this one to have a totally different vibe, but without replacing everything I own. I’ve already started pulling together an inspiration board on Pinterest called My Ideal Home. Here are a few of my favorite ideas that I totally plan to incorporate into my new space.

billowy bedding
I think this space needs more of a boho, relaxed vibe. I’m lucky enough to have a sleeping nook, so I’m thinking of converting it into a little tented area. I want it to be very intimate, very nook-ish, and totally ensconced in breezy, sheer, billowy fabrics like this bed.

marble topped table
My kitchen has the perfect space for a tiny table for two. Of course I am lusting after a vintage marble-topped beauty like this.

loads of plants
This time I want even more plants, including trees, just like this grouping.
