pinspiration station // pattern

I turn to Pinterest a lot when it’s time to get inspired… or if I’m trying to avoid unpacking my apartment. Lately I’ve noticed tons of pattern inspiration floating around. It’s almost like we’re subconsciously ready to leave behind the solid, all-dark uniform of winter and escape into a world of whimsical patterns and bold color. There are so many great examples of this on Pinterest these days — here are a few of my favorites. (top image: greeting card from Vitae)

print mixing
Print mixing is such an artform… but this image really speaks to me. There’s something about the prints being bold, but simple. Also, it helps that they are both grounded in white and roughly the same scale. What do you think about this look? (via Fashion Gone Rogue)

new textiles from elephant landing
I’m already a big fan of Elephant Landing, so it’s exciting to see the evolution of their textiles with this new collection. I might not be able to eat pineapple thanks to an allergy, but I’d certainly grace my table with this runner! (Head to The City Sage to see more of this collection.)

dots all overTalk about dots all over! I absolutely LOVE this image. (from Interview Russia)
