I switch out my iPhone case just about every other day based on what I’m wearing. This habit can get a tad expensive, so recently I started brainstorming iPhone case DIY projects. One of my favorite tricks is to use metallic foil to perk up an inexpensive plastic case. The steps are pretty simple and straightforward, but the end result will have people asking “oh wow, where did you get that??”

Copper Foil iPhone Case DIY: Step-By-Step Directions
Materials:
- iphone case
- foil (I used copper)
Tools:
- spray adhesive
- paintbrush
- washi tape
- stencils
Directions:
Start by lining up your stencil on your phone case. Then, in a well-ventilated area, spray on the adhesive and allow to set according to instructions.
Remove the stencil and carefully lay the stick side of the phone case onto the copper foil sheet. Be sure to apply pressure to ensure full coverage of the foil.
Using an old paintbrush, wipe away the excess bits of foil. Keep in mind that the edges won’t be perfect!
You can also use washi tape to create patterns like stripes, plaids, and geometrics. Simply follow the same process.

So fun!
Just an idea, haven’t tried it but, possibly you could use an aluminum disc punch (I saw some at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section) to punch out perfect circles and then somehow attach those to the case? Cool idea btw :) This could actually be used for other things too, like school folios and binders.
