I consider myself to be a vintage shopping aficionado, especially in the way of home decor, which is probably why I’m so excited to share the news of Schatzi. Located in the Mission, here in San Francisco, Schatzi is truly my new favorite place to shop for quirky-cool accents for my home. Shopkeepers/owners Charles and Kelvin have the best aesthetic, self labeled as “rustic to refined – mid-century modern abuts folky primitive next to 1970s glamour.” The fact is that no matter your taste, I strongly believe you’ll find exactly what you need (read: want) at this gorgeous little boutique.
For me, vintage shopping is all about the details, something that positively abounds at Schatzi. I planned to spend about 30-45 minutes in the store… and ended up being there for 2 hours. I just kept discovering more and more the longer I looked. Charles and Kevin did a really great job of curating vignettes on their shelves, so it’s the perfect inspiration to re-create the looks in your own home.
Meet the newest addition to my apartment, this copper glass bar cart! I couldn’t possibly walk away from this beauty.
I’ve always wanted a set of these vintage decanters. I just might head back to get them to complete my bar cart.
Schatzi really has a great assortment of what I call ‘smalls.’ You know, all those special touches that turn a house into a home. If you’re looking for something special, this is the spot to find it.
Be sure to stop by and visit Schatzi: 1908 Mission Street San Francisco,CA 94103. Also, follow along on instagram for their latest finds.
