I usually tend to keep the textiles talk to the posts I write for Anthology, but usually there have been so many lately that I can’t possibly keep up!
First up, In Bed. One of the best investments I made was a set of linen sheets years ago and I’m looking for another set. They feel that good. I love the casual, rumped look, the natural cooling effect of linen, even the way it takes color differently than cotton. I especially love the colors that In Bed offers and the way they mix and match so well.
I actually did write about Ohhio on Anthology a few weeks ago, but my love affair has yet to end. I’ve got these oversized knit blankets on my mind in a BIG way for my new loft, especially as I brainstorm ways to create a great reading nook (see more tips on that over on eBay).
Then there’s Lumiere Art and Co. from Australia. It’s kinda safe to say I want it all, especially these giant polka dot throws and pillows. Then there’s their amazing ice-dyed pieces. I’ve never seen this technique done before! Basically, they individually layer the fabric with dye and ice to achieve the totally one-of-a-kind patterns that sort of look like florals. Talk about a fun, new twist on tie dye, right?
