a little extra grace // work hard, rosé harder download

May flowers are beginning to bloom; spring is showing off. When the weather starts to warm up and flowers are all blooming bright, it seems like every end of the work day should include a glass (editor’s note: or two?) at happy hour and a patio to enjoy the view.

Lately, work has been overwhelmingly busy. It seems like every week brings a new deadline, with a seemingly unending list of tasks to complete for each one. I naturally put a lot of pressure on myself to work as much as I physically, and mentally, can. Any free time found in the day can instantly be filled with work when an iPhone is in my hand (which it always is). It’s tough to turn my work brain off even after I’ve accomplished every task on the list for the day. I had been working very long days, several days of the week, before forcing myself to take a moment for myself.

After working hard all week, a glass of rosé sounds like the perfect lovely treat for winding down and celebrating all of the hard work accomplished.

“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – Buddha

Take a moment to recognize your hard work and honor yourself. Lock your phone, place your phone out of sight, pour your glass of rosé, and reflect on what you’ve accomplished. Whether you’re savoring a moment alone while reading or re-watching a favorite show, or having a few laughs with friends over a shared bottle of rosé… enjoy every minute of it. Relax while you can, and feel energized when you return to working hard tomorrow.
