something a bit lacy

One of my favorite guilty pleasures is lingerie shopping. Forget plain cotton panties… I want lacy, elegant, intricately detailed underpinnings. And these aren’t just for special occasions — no, I find that wearing something a bit lacy will perk me up and pull me out of a grumpy mood. It’s like a sweet indulgence for yourself.

I’m a big fan of matching sets — worn together, but also mixed and matched with other pieces, prints, and colors.

I always look for pieces with great details: rich, saturated color… pretty trims… even unexpected silhouettes. And I tend to mix it up when it comes to favorite places to shop. A few current loves are Free People, Hopeless Lingerie, and Net-a-Porter.

This is something that just feels like a treat for myself, no one else… sort of like when they say to wear high heels to perk up a bad day.
