STYLE // beyond basics with Levi’s + Zappos

Despite my bohemian leanings, I have a huge soft spot in my heart for basics, especially a great pair of jeans. That’s pretty much the foundation for about 99% of my go-to outfits. Levi’s has always been a personal favorite of mine, but their new 700 series truly takes the cake. Plus, they are available on Zappos, aka the fastest way to shop online. I know I’m not alone in this: shopping for the perfect pair of jeans can be daunting, not to mention time-consuming. Shopping on Zappos means that I’ll have my new pair of jeans within 1 business day, saving me from a trip to the dreaded mall (*shudder*).

The 700 series is pretty unique in that it’s designed for women, by women. Because really, who better understands my curves than another woman? In terms of fit, I tend to prefer a skinnier leg with a high waist. The skinny leg helps to make my legs look longer, while the high waist means I don’t have to always wear a belt.

The 721 High Rise Skinny is utter perfection — available in 4 great washes and a variety of inseams, this style sits exactly at my waist and tapers into a really flattering, lengthening leg shape. And when do we discuss how great they make my butt look??

Is there anything sexier than a crisp white top with jeans? Nope.

I like to twist mine a little bit by wearing a flowy silk tunic (similar, mine is from Reliquary) casually tucked in, paired with a bold red lip (this is my favorite lip crayon) and statement-making gladiator heels (similar, mine are Valentino). Bonus points for exposed foot tattoos.
