I swear, ever since I started One Room Challenge, I’ve cast an editing eye to every corner of the loft. Through this process, I noticed that I tend to create piles and most of these piles are of books. I tend to be a bit of a book hoarder, especially near my bed. I recently made a commitment to myself: tidy up the nightstand and keep it that way.
I started with a really nice table — the folks over at Bryght were kind enough to send over the Thuja, which can double as an end table, but also a stool. I loved this option because I felt like I could pull it into the living room area the next time I have guests over to provide extra surfaces.
The first step was limiting my book selection to only what I’m reading at the moment. The rest of my ‘to be read’ stack is neatly tucked away in my tv stand, waiting for me to get to them. Also, as an avid before-bed-reader, I knew I needed a good lighting option. I picked up this lamp from –can you believe it– Target. Not bad, huh??
Then I added a tiny airplant in this half-moon planter from Urban Outfitters and my favorite Paper & Clay mug for water.
The result is a space that feels wayyy more relaxed, as well as functional tidy. If you’re in the market for furniture that has it all (affordability and style), be sure to check out Bryght.
Disclosure: Bryght was kind enough to give me a piece to review for this post. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the content that keeps Jojotastic awesome.
