With Thanksgiving a little over 2 weeks away, I know a lot of you have one thing on your minds: travel. I consider myself a bit of a travel aficionado at this point, especially given my jetsetting days of flying from Philly to Seattle and back every two weeks out of homesickness! That being said, I figured now is the perfect time to partner up with one of my favorite brands, prAna, to share some of my favorite pieces to wear while traveling.
The first tip is pretty obvious: dress comfortably. For me, this means wearing pants that don’t restrict my movement (for that last-minute spring to the gate) and a top with a built-in bra.
I absolutely hate wearing a bra. Really, I only do it when I absolutely must. When traveling, I often wear one of my climbing tops, like this Marley top. The fabric is nice and stretchy, while the shelf bra doesn’t pinch or poke. And I absolutely love the back detail.
I also tend to get really cold on airplanes, so I always bring a cozy fleece with me… something that’s similar to a blanket! The Arka Jacket from prAna is absurdly comfortable, but also really cute thanks to a button detail at the neck.
Lately, I’ve fallen into a really bad habit of saving up work to do while on a flight. I used to reallllly look forward to that uninterrupted time for reading and even feel like it’s a time when I can actually relax. I’m trying to focus more and more on not opting to purchase wifi and instead, packing reading material that’s been sitting on my nightstand for ages (like the latest issue of Collective Quarterly).
Lastly, I always pack a cozy beanie to wear on the plane. This is my final step in making sure I stay warm enough… but I have been known to pull the hat down over my eyes to catch a quick nap, too!
shop the post: arka jacket, uptown pant, bhakti weekend bag, joely beanie, joely mittens, and marley top.
For this post I received products to review from prAna. All opinions are my own and always will be! Thanks for supporting content that keeps Jojotastic going.
