Combining the beauty of natural elements and elegantly minimal metalwork is what today’s maker, Friedasophie, does best. She uses one of a kind gemstones, mineral stones, geodes and natural specimens to create fine jewelry with the hope that it will be treasured for generations to come.
Her timeless jewelry pieces are the perfect way to tell a cherished friend what a gem they are! Everything in the collection is so versatile. I could gift the same ring to my favorite boho-goddess as the dressed-in-all-black fashion friend, and they would both love it. So enjoy getting to know the talented lady behind the magic.

tell us a bit about what you do – your process, your materials, what inspires and drives you.
I am a San Francisco based Gold Smith and Jewelry Designer. I hand craft all my pieces at my home studio. I work with only with natural stones that do not involve chemical treatments or coloring, in addition I work with local miners for fair trade and eco friendly business practice.
I get inspire by traveling the continent and I love going to gem fairs, it’s like treasure hunting. I usually get inspired by the uniqueness of a stone. My best design idea’s often come when I am completely relaxed right before I fall asleep, so I keep a little notebook and pen by my bed.
