If there is one food that makes me think of Christmas, it’s pancakes. Every year on Christmas morning, my dad would make silver dollar pancakes for me — sometimes with ears! It was our thing, our Christmas morning tradition. Now that I’m an ‘adult’ (in quotes, because really…) it’s time to make this holiday tradition my own with a merry and bright pancake party. Today I’ve partnered with Walmart.com to show just how easy it can be to throw party without breaking the bank.

We all know that time is quite the hot commodity during the holiday season, so I saved a bit of time by avoiding the store altogether and shopping on Walmart.com instead — it was soooo much easier and faster. I grew up shopping at Walmart and was really blown away by the latest collections, especially in the tabletop department. Who knew that Walmart has upped its game? These pieces were the perfect finishing touch for my pancake party, not to mention budget-friendly.

For my party, I set up a little pancake bar with stacks of cute plates and utensils. Then, I filled these super cute dishes with all of the toppings.
Using a portable griddle, I served ’em hot and fresh for my guests, then offered tons of toppings. A few favorites to offer:
- chocolate chips
- pecans
- bananas
- blueberries
- whipped cream
- caramel chips
- pomegranate seeds

The key to a great tabletop is to mix up the textures and materials. In this case, I used lots of ceramic, wood, metal, and glass — even glitter for a layered, but casual look.
Add some sparkly ornaments for a festive feel and — ta da! — you’ve got a super cute pancake party just in time for the holidays.
