Having fancy nails feels like such a luxury. In my day to day life, I’m constantly painting, hot glueing and doing general nail-ruining activities. So when I finally do get around to painting them, I try to really have some fun. With the holiday party invites rolling in, I wanted to try something fancy that would go with just about everything. Et voilà, gold fleck nails!

This project’s the excuse I’ve been looking for to pick up a package of gold foil! Other than that, all you need are a few nail polishes and thing from around the house.
How To Paint Gold Fleck Nails for Fall
Materials:
Tools:
- tweezers
- wooden stick

Start by applying your favorite base coat and then apply two layers of dark polish. I went with a burgundy, but dark green or even black would pop against the gold and look great too.

Next, use your tweezers and wooden stick to break up a sheet of the gold foil into small pieces. Don’t worry about trying to make them perfect shapes, different sizes only make the pattern that much more fun and interesting!

Now apply the gold foil pieces to your nails before second coat of burgundy fully dries. I usually use a pair of tweezers to place them, then just press down with a gentle tap.

Finish by sealing your manicure with a clear top coat then allow to dry completely. That’s all there is to it! This is such a fun and easy project to do with friends, or to get ready for a fun event.
