5 cool umbrellas for spring

A word of advice: if you’re ever in Seattle and want to blend in, don’t use an umbrella. These Pacific Northwesterners will go to extreme lengths to avoid opening one up overhead, pulling down hoods and shrinking into collars instead. That being said, I just love umbrellas and can put up with a few tourist-related remarks for the sake of wearing my cute coats that don’t have hoods, especially with all these adorable options!

My favorite might just be the bubble umbrella, covered in clear vinyl with fun prints, the curved handle is perfect for hooking over my arm when the drizzle lets up. The Stripe Bubble Umbrella by Urban Outfitters (pictured above) has a classic black stripe design and goes with pretty much anything.

Can we talk about how good the pastels on Tri-Coastal Design’s Colorblock Umbrella are? This cheerful folding umbrella is perfectly purse-sized and just the thing to add a splash of color to grey, rainy days.

Street style meets Scandinavian chic in the Monki Sunny Side Up Umbrella from ASOS. Perfect for a statement-making kind of day, this umbrella packs plenty of personality and expression. I’m really loving the fresh print and ‘sunny side up’ handing lettering on each side.

Another great bubble umbrella, the Original Moustache Umbrella from Hunter Boots in Blue Sky is a classic. The bold trim on the canopy forms their signature mustache shape, and the manual-open and rubber-coated crook handle features feel so chic.
