5 cool airy maxi dresses

It’s really starting to get hot here! I couldn’t be more excited for the early preview of summer weather, but my wardrobe just isn’t prepared for all this sunshine yet. It’s time to unpack the cutoffs and find my new go-to maxi dress for the season. Pair with a cute pair of clogs and get picnic ready!

I’m a little obsessed with the gorgeous back of the Kimchi Blue Baby Bud Cap-Sleeve Maxi Dress from Urban Outfitters (pictured above). This rosebud print cap-sleeve beauty is lined, so no stickiness on super warm days and has the cutest lattice lace insets all over. Perfect for summer strolls or twirling in a field of wildflowers, you know, the usual.

Embrace your super-femme side with this gorgeous Pleated Maxi Dress in Floral Print from ASOS. The mid-weight chiffon and tie-waist make this super flattering on any figure. I love the v-neckline and flowing sleeves, perfect for protecting delicate shoulders from the sun.

Can we talk about the Mulberry Dress from Free People? This maxi might just be the one. In a soft floral print available in three colorways, it has a flowy fit with a crisscross strappy back and keyhole opening with adjustable ties. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s inset pockets at the hip. Feeling ready for more sunshine already.

is it summer yet??

If you couldn’t tell, I’m all about a great back detail, which is why it was love at first sight with the Empire Mist ruffled silk-blend georgette maxi by Zimmermann. Crafted from airy silk-blend georgette, this dress has such a romantic and ethereal feel, with wispy ruffles that float around your frame. The best part is that is has a boned bodice that offers support so you can forego a bra!

This might be the prettiest toile I’ve ever seen. Printed on semi-sheer silk georgette in creamy pink, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s Toile Georgette Gown is what maxi dress dreams are made of. Detailed at the sleeves and sides with delicate ruffles, if you’re going for summer goddess, this is the one.
