cowhide rug round up
Ever since we put this rug in my dining room for the Decorist makeover, I’ve been obsessed with cowhide rugs. I love this style for so many reasons: the pop of unexpected texture, the irregular shape for my odd-sized room, and the low profile of the rug itself. I found myself totally obsessed with the metallic option, but I’m also really blown away by how many versions of this classic rug there are (even more options here). I just love how they look + the sheep skin! However i feel so horribly thinking i walk on an animal’s skin :( I have these two incredibly beautiful envelopes in cowhide, and i can never wear them because it feels so weird..!
I totally understand what you mean! My hope is that this hide was from an animal that was also eaten, which makes me feel a bit better ;)
