Back when I lived in the loft, I was just down the street from Pike Place Market and used to go quite frequently. But now that I live up in Ballard, getting down there can be such a drag, especially when trying to find parking. Recently, Sean and I decided to go on a little date night excursion for a little bit of tourist-in-our-own-city action. We partnered with Uber today to share just how easy they made it for us to enjoy our favorite market spots + a list of my must-eats in Pike Place!
Finding parking is the bane of my existence. Honestly, I’d rather just get there and enjoy our date night without worrying about parking or getting a ticket. Often we bypass that stress by requesting an Uber to take us where we want to go! I use the app to easily locate an UberX, so we can easily get where we need to be. If we’re on a tight budget, we use UberPool which matches us with other riders and is the most economical option.
ps – be sure to check out our first post with Uber here.
It’s really hard to pick favorites when there are so many amazing options in the market, but here are my current loves in Pike Place:
Mee Sum Pastry — the very best pork buns Seattle has to offer. I loooove them.
Daily Dozen Doughnut Company — I’m obsessed with their warm mini doughnuts.
Rachel’s Ginger Beer — heavenly cocktails and so many types of ginger beer. The shop is also really cute.
Old Stove Brewing — this is Sean’s friends’ new brewery! So many delicious beers on tap, made right in the market. The warm nuts and pretzel are super yummy, too. We started off our night with a flight of 6 beers, then each picked our favorite. Getting a flight is a really fun way to taste most of their menu!
If you’re local to Seattle or visiting soon, be sure to check out the market because they are starting to put up all of the twinkly holiday decor! It always looks so magical.
