I’m staying in Seattle again this Thanksgiving, mostly because the thought of traveling right now on top of everything else I’ve got going on… it’s just too much. I have the house (starting to think about a bedroom makeover), lots of amazing holiday posts that we’re working on, the new studio, and more styling work — clearly there is just way too much on my plate right now! Admittedly, I’ve not been the greatest about getting dressed lately. Most days you’ll find me in the same ratty vintage flannel and yoga pants. But I have been trying to make more of an effort, especially for the holiday season.
We’re staying here and celebrating with Sean’s family (which is awesome, cuz I love them). It’s my second year spending the holiday with them, so I can be a little more casual. Last year was when I met them all for the first time and I felt like I had to impress. But this year, I feel like I can be a bit more relaxed in my look, which means I’m pulling together a few of my current faves for this look.
I’ve been obsessed with this blue silk tunic I picked up from a local boutique called Velouria (more about them here). It’s made locally by Lu. and is the dreamiest, softest silk. And I’m sort of in love with all things navy lately. The tunic is roomy enough for me to go back for seconds, but I still feel pulled together and chic. I paired it with my favorite Madewell skinny jeans and this duster coat I picked up in Amsterdam a few years ago. The plaid adds a slightly festive, fall nod to the look. I finished off the look with my favorite vintage clogs (similar) and a J.Crew clutch I picked up at the Goodwill recently.
I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving! Be sure to check in for our Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday Seattle Guide, and Cyber Monday round ups — lots of awesome gift inspiration.
