meet Plann, my new favorite instagram planning tool

If I have one huge business tip for you, it’s to automate as much as possible. I schedule everything: Facebook posts, tweets, even my pins! For a more visual platform like Instagram, I recently started using an app called Plann and I couldn’t sing it’s praises more. My friend Kyla from House of Hipsters told me all about it and I knew I immediately had to try it because her feed is crazy gorgeous. Wanna know more?

My friend Erica Reitman taught me another amazing timesaving tip: pick a day and shoot a bunch of images all at once. She calls it ‘batching,’ but basically it helps to save you time. For me, I know I should post often, but I never know what to post. Thinking through my feed and using an app like Plann helps me to make sure my feed is cohesive and thoughtful.

Basically, I connected my Instagram account to Plann and added in all of the images I’d like to post. Then I drag and drop them into place so that they all look really nice next to each other.

From there you can add captions and schedule them. When it’s time to post, Plann will alert you and then you can post!

And (here’s my favorite part), we all know the best way to grow an Instagram following is to be featured by larger accounts by using their hashtags. Plann allows you to save groupings of hashtags. Once you’ve added a bunch, you simply tag ‘copy’ and then you can paste into Instagram! It’s amaaaazing and saves me SO much time.

Be sure to check out Plann!

Sold. I will! : ) I do my batching…when I’m able. But it’s sooo much better to be able to curate ahead of time, this way!
