If your bathroom is anything like mine, it’s pretty small and lacking any real form of storage. Having a small bathroom can inspire you to get creative though — and it’s all about figuring out which tools are best to help you get organized. I’ve tried countless different configurations and methods for squeezing out every last bit of storage in my small bathroom and wanted to share a ton of amazing pieces I’ve found in the process.
My small bathroom has quite a few awkward spaces where I could sneak in a bit of storage here and there. I’ve found that freestanding storage carts have been perfect for this, plus there are loads of really cute ones out there:
- green metal rolling storage cart
- tri-tier metal storage
- standing caddy tower
- tower bathroom storage cart
I’m also really into stowing small items in mix-and-match canisters. I never actually buy multiples of the same thing because I like when they look more curated and collected. But I do tend to stick to a color palette, especially for a small space. Because our bathroom isn’t renovated yet I kept things simple with a black and white color palette. I figure that will work in the future, no matter how we renovate!
sources:
- white metal basket
- retro leaf ceramic jar
- metal wire basket
- sisal lidded peace basket
- black marble soap pump
- canister with wood lid
- marble wall-mounted shelf
- massey tripe hook
- west slope knurled hook
- woven collapsible basket
- decorative ladder
Another tip if you lack floor space is to go up — think of ways to add storage to your walls and ceiling with hooks, brackets, or rods.
I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but this is actually an over-the-toilet storage piece that I like! Most of them aren’t the most attractive, but this one is actually pretty damn cute.
How else do you add storage to your bathroom? I’d love to hear your tips!
