window shopping // draped in velvet (for under $100!)

source: velvet floral plunge dress from Topshop.

Did you catch my joke? The title of this post is a play on that scene in Seinfeld when George Constanza says he wants to always be draped in velvet. Given this season’s assortment of velvet, I’d say that George was a trendsetter! Recently while shopping, I noticed that it is literally everywhere… from shoes to tees and even the sweetest hair bows around. I’m super into it.

Here are some of my favorite finds, all under $100!

I’d have to say that my favorite part of this trend is that velvet just looks positively radiant in fall’s best jewel tone shades: burgundy, peacock, vintage gold… it’s just so good. I also really love that even the tiniest bit of velvet instantly elevates your outfit. For example, you may just be wearing a tee and jeans, but if it’s a velvet tee then you automatically look just a bit fancier. Magic!
