window shopping // plaid to meet you (for under $100!)

source: scarf from Mango

In case you’ve been living under a rock these past few months, I’m here today to tell you that plaid is HERE for fall. Tartans, windowpanes, glen, tattersoll… it doesn’t matter. All of it is in this fall and I freaking love it. My love of plaid goes deep. After attending private school my whole life (kilt and all), you’d think I was sick of it, but no. My alma mater is Carnegie Mellon, where the mascot is The Tartan. Yup, a bolt of cloth. You better believe I’m here for this trend.

Here are some of my favorite finds, all under $100!

It’s funny, for so long I thought plaid was too preppy for my style. But after worshipping the ground that Alexa Chung walks on for years, I’ve come around. She is able to mix plaid into her style in a way that makes it feel decidedly less stuffy. So I’m just gonna copy her all fall!
