meet Aera, my favorite way to make my home smell great + giveaway

I have a confession to make… my  home doesn’t always smell the freshest. For starters, having a tiny zoo in a tiny house doesn’t help. We’re also still very much fighting the ‘old house smell’ that’s been lingering for the past 2 years. About 4 or 5 months ago, Aera sent me their patented Aera Smart Home Fragrance Starter Set and, quite frankly, I am obsessed with it. Gone are the days of quickly lighting candles before people come over or having plug ins (that are too heavy to even stay in my outlets #oldhouseproblems). So today I’m revealing my secret source and sharing my new favorite way to make my home smell + the details of a giveaway!

At first I was a little bit skeptical, worried that the fragrance would either be too strong or not strong enough. But, because this is a smart system, I’m able to control it. There are buttons on the top to increase or decrease the fragrance… or you can connect it to Alexa and tell her to control it! This basically means that as I’m running around trying to tidy up the house before people come over, I can holler “ALEXA!” and she makes the house smell amazing. The level of fragrance is fully customizable and dispenses at timed intervals. I really love the modern, sleek design, too — it blends in quite nicely with my #shelfie.

Then there are the fragrances… you guys, these are not your ordinary home fragrances. They are sophisticated and, for lack of a better word, lovely. How could they not be… they are crafted by master perfumers and contain natural oils. Whenever it’s time to change the Aera Fragrance Capsule, Sean and I discuss which one we can to try next. I read off the descriptions and let him pick, sort of like a game.

Our absolute favorite fragrance has been Indigo, with notes of citrus, cedarwood, and sandalwood. There are holiday-inspired fragrances, too, so now we’re enjoying Snowfall which has notes of noble fir, freesia, and cedar wood. I got a sneak peek of the holiday fragrances, which will be available on October 30 and, man, they are goooood. The scenting technology is hypoallergenic, too, which is awesome for when I have guests over. I know that my home will smell good without any unwanted reactions.

And now, the details of our giveaway! Enter below for a chance to win. 3 winners will be chosen at random by Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10 am PST. Open to US residents only. 3 winner total. Each winner will receive 1 Aera Smart Home Fragrance Starter Set + Holiday Fragrance Trios. Good luck!

This is seriously so cool! I have a diffuser that you add water and essential oil to. It sounds a lot like Aera but it doesn’t work at all and it’s uggl! So disappointing and the smell isn’t great. Adding drops of oil to water just doesn’t smell as good as a fancy candle. I’m doubly excited to try this out!
