Recently, Hannah and I were celebrating a bit of the ole happy hour and came across this champagne cocktail on the menu of Mr. West… and we fell in love. Not only is it so incredibly easy to make, but it’s refreshing, delicious, and so perfect for New Year’s Eve. Trust us, this is what you’ll want to be sipping when the clock strikes midnight!
It’s sort of silly to even call this cocktail a recipe because it’s so straightforward and easy to make… but it’s so damn good. I also love this champagne cocktail recipe because it’s an easy drink to serve if you’re hosting a party. Once you set out the champagne, sugar cubes, and bitters, your guests can mix their own cocktails… freeing you up to really enjoy the party!
A Refreshing Champagne Cocktail for New Year’s Eve
- a few dashes of grapefruit bitters (these are my favorite)
- 1 demerara sugar cube
- Place a demerara sugar cube at the bottom of a champagne flute or coupe. Shake out a few dashes of grapefruit bitters onto the sugar cube. Fill the glass with champagne and enjoy!
And in case you need some festive glassware for your New Year’s Eve celebrations, here are some gorgeous champagne flutes and coupes:
So what do you think??Let us know what you think of our recipe! We hope you have a lovely New Years with your loved ones!
