Not gonna lie, this year I definitely phoned it in with the holiday decorations in my home. Between not being able to walk for half the year and then having the busiest Q3 and Q4 ever for this blog, I just didn’t really have the time, energy, or gumption. Last weekend I finally got my act together enough to put our ornaments on the tree and sprinkle some tiny lights around the house. I thought it would be fun to share a quick little video with you guys to show how we decorated the bungalow + a few photos, too!
PS — make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel cuz I’m planning tonsss of new videos in 2018!

Ever since I brought this bison skull back from Wyoming, I knew I wanted to put twinkly lights on it for the holidays… it only took me 2 years to do it! But now I’m pretty sure this will be a yearly thing.

I added a few battery powered LED twinkle light strands to the bar cart to make the booze sparkle and hung the stockings there since we don’t have a mantle.

I’m still so obsessed with our pom pom garland DIY, so it’s been up since we shot that post in October! Also, our tree is always a mishmash of ornaments. I used to design holiday trim for Anthropologie, so a lot of our ornaments are my ‘fails…’ basically anything that was too weird to go into production. Sean’s personal favorite is the very phallic-looking fish ornament — see it?

So that’s pretty much it! I honestly didn’t have much time this year, so the holiday decor in the tiny bungalow is pretty minimal… but it’s still home and I love it.
