van life: our weekend away at La Push + video

I can’t even express to you how excited I am to bring more video content to you here on the blog. As I was editing this video of our recent New Years weekend trip to La Push, I realized that this is the perfect way for you to get a sneak peek of all the adventures that Sean and I get up to… and to really get to know us! Both of us have been itching to leave the city and take it on an excursion, basically a mini trip.

For those of you who haven’t seen Twilight, La Push is a beach along the Pacific Coast here in Washington and it’s absolutely stunning. We decided to load up the dogs and head out to the coast for new years in an effect to get away from it all and ring in the new year with some peace. This is rapidly becoming a tradition for us because last year we went sailing for new years. I really, really love our trips away from the hullabaloo, to be honest. Just us, the dogs, and so many snuggles. I can’t even remember if I have mentioned here that we have a Vanagon, but we do. Sean scored it for next to nothing on Craigslist and we’ve been working on making it comfortable for about a year. Over the course of these 2 days away, we realized just how much we love van life… and we might even dabble in living in the van for a while! It’s definitely on our minds.
