the friday edit

Happy Friday! I wish I had exciting stuff to tell you that we’re doing this weekend… but no. We’ll just be hanging around the house, working away on the backyard makeover. After so many weeks of traveling, it feels awesome to be back in Seattle though — yardwork or not. And, of course, it’s been so nice to spend time with Sean. Part of what I love so much about our relationship is how we manage to make even the mundane tasks feel special because it means we’re doing stuff together. I’m so lucky to have a partner who embraces my projects so wholeheartedly and in such a loving way. Ok, I’ll stop being sappy now. Promise!

In case you missed it, here’s what we shared on the blog this week:

Plus, here are a few things that have inspired me this week:

Drinking With Chickens always has the best recipes (and best photos)!

I’ve never done a 10×10 challenge before, but I might do one after seeing Rebecca’s post.

If you’re in the Chicago area, definitely check out this tag sale. I wish I could go soooo badly.

Quick pickled onions are pretty much my favorite topping ever… and SO easy to make.

Loving Anne’s take on how to wear polka dots.

Have a great weekend!
