My Top 10 Small Space-Friendly Stores

Let’s be real here for a moment: shopping for any sized home is difficult enough, but when you limit the square footage… well, that’s when things get interesting! Over the past 3 years, I like to think I’ve become an expert when it comes to small spaces. After all, #mytinybungalow is only 640 sqft total. I definitely have some favorites when it comes to finding furniture and storage pieces, so I wanted to share my holy grail list of small-space friendly stores with you!

The Best Places to Shop for Your Small Space

Urban Outfitters

I feel like Urban Outfitters has really stepped up their game recently and is offering some legit options for actual grown ups. There are so many pieces that I find myself lusting after that would be so perfect for a small space. Plus, I love how they’ve started using lots of new materials like rattan, but still at an affordable price. This is definitely my top pick of this list for small space-friendly stores… they just have too many good options. It makes me wish our house was bigger!

World Market

World Market has gone to great lengths to position itself at the top of the small space-friendly stores category… and I’m not mad about it! For a more eclectic and boho vibe, this store is a great option when it comes to affordable decor. I’m always impressed with the quality + affordability of their rugs, plus all of the storage baskets they sell. They also have a nice selection of wall hooks to help you maximize your vertical space.

CB2

If you’re looking for a modern way to maximize your space, CB2 is a great resource. While we were shopping for pieces for our tiny home, it was usually a safe bet that most of the furniture from CB2 would actually fit! This is another small space-friendly option that has a wide variety of finishes, colors, and materials that will work no matter your decorating style. Personally, I am a fan of the glossy white furniture that CB2 sells because it pairs well with a variety of other pieces and is easier to dust.

Pottery Barn

For a long time, I was a big fan of Pottery Barn, but could never include their pieces in my home due to the size of the furniture. They’ve started offering smaller pieces through PB Apartment and curating a great selection of space saving furniture like sofas, side tables, and even lighting. I especially love the pieces that maximize storage in the corner of a room… totally genius!

The Container Store

I would be totally remiss if I didn’t include The Container Store on this list of small space-friendly stores! It’s basically the go-to for all things organization and storage related for any part of your home. I am partial to the small organization essentials that can be found at The Container Store because they literally have everything. Once our kitchen is finished, I plan to organize our pantry with jars and containers found there… I cannot wait!

One Kings Lane

You probably don’t think of tiny homes when you think of One Kings Lane, but hear me out. There are so many products on this site that you are all but guaranteed to find stylish, unique pieces that will fit in your apartment or small home. It’s also a great resource for lighting, pillows, and textiles to complete your decor vibe once you’re furnished your small space! Plus, it’s always nice to have an eclectic mix of vintage and new in your home.

Target

For another really affordable option, Target should definitely be on this list! Lately I’ve been blown away by the new collections that have been launched and how much better the quality has gotten. So many of the furniture pieces feel grown up, while the prices have remained affordable. Plus, you can’t beat Target’s selection of storage baskets and bins!

Anthropologie

For a totally one of a kind piece for your small space, look no further than Anthropologie. Anthro is a great resource for that one epic accent piece that will set the tone for the rest of your space, so a splurge could be in order. They also have tonsss of hardware options in case you want to use hooks to store things vertically, too.

All Modern

All Modern is another one of the best small space-friendly stores where you can literally find it all… and usually it’s pretty affordable! While they don’t have a specific small space category or section of their website, there are still a lot of options that can work. Personally, I’ve spent hours scrolling through all of the options before selecting a single end table!

Chairish

If you’re like me and enjoy the thrill of the hunt, Chairish is definitely the place for you to shop for your small space! You can score some amazing vintage pieces here to really round out the decor in your space. And, honestly, the best part of shopping here is that you never really know what you’re going to find.
