While we’re not exactly newlyweds yet, Sean and I have been having so much fun talking about our future married life… especially when the kitchen renovation is finished. I cannot wait to get back to cooking and doing all the fun ‘nesting’ type activities that I feel compelled to do. Is it weird that all I want to do is roast chicken and daydream about further building our life together? When Chronicle Books reached out to share Caroline Chambers‘ first book Just Married, I was really excited to give it a try and change up our meals. I love how the cookbook is all about creating traditions within your relationship and finding meaning around the table. With 125 recipes spanning breakfast, brunch, soups, party drinks, and more, this book is a modern and practical resources for couples. A personal fave from the Just Married cookbook is the No Recipe Saucy Baked Eggs. Because our kitchen is still under construction, I’ve been using Sean’s dad’s oven to make this recipe… and it’s so good!! The reason Caroline calls it ‘no recipe’ is because it calls for turning last night’s leftovers into breakfast. The best part of this cooking strategy is that it means less time in the kitchen and more time with your partner whom you just married. Genius, huh!
And to make this giveaway even more fun, Le Creuset has joined us to include one of their Signature Enameled Cast Iron Skillets — perfect for making baked eggs! The surface of the skillet is finished with a matte black enamel, eliminating the need for seasoning and the maintenance requirements of raw cast iron.
