It’s time for our second annual Holiday Home Tour of our tiny bungalow! Despite the renovation and all the flux of wedding planning, I still made a point to decorate the house for the holidays this year. Admittedly, I didn’t put up nearly as much decor as last year, but I am still really proud of how the tiny bungalow looks… and smells! Our Christmas Tree
It was not in the cards for us to get a live tree this year simply because of how busy we are. We didn’t have the mental bandwidth to even remember to keep it watered. Instead, we step up the artificial, pre-lit tree that I use for photoshoots. I’m really glad we did this because it saved us a lot of time and also means we won’t have even more to sweep up. I decorated it with our usual array of ornaments and added our DIY tree skirt that we shared a couple of weeks ago.
The one thing I really miss about having a real tree is the smell of fresh pine. Thankfully, there are two ways to make your home smell extra-festive during the holidays thanks to Air Wick:

I added a few metallic glass trees, then turned the TV to the Fireplace For Your Home on Netflix for some extra-cozy vibes. We may not have a real fireplace, but this is the next best thing!
The Bar Cart Area
We finally have our dining room back in order from the kitchen renovation, so I’ve been taking full advantage of it. I really missed our vintage bar cart, especially. There’s something about it that always makes the room feel more complete. I decked out the bar cart with a Scandi-inspired wooden bead garland and a few simple ball ornaments in a cloche. Next I added a metallic glass tree and a cute spool of twine and -voilà- it instantly looks festive.
Our dining room
I use our dining table as gift wrap central during the holidays, so usually it’s kept pretty clear. That usually gives us room to wrap presents and enjoy a cup of tea (and cookies!). Once the presents are all wrapped, I usually make sure there are flowers in the table at all times during the holidays.
