I always wonder whether you guys are interested in seeing our behind-the-scenes, real life mountain adventures. But here’s the thing: I really want to show them to you! I think it’s so easy to get caught up in everything being perfect and lovely and beautiful on the internet, but part of what I love about video (aka vlogs) is that it’s soooo much more real. So this past weekend, when we went to the North Cascades to do some wedding planning stuff, we shot some video. Get ready to see some of our funny friends, our misadventures, and our second attempt at cross country skiing.
p.s. be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all of our videos first!

Travel Vlog: A Weekend Away in the North Cascades
For those who aren’t from Washington State, the Cascade Mountains is the range that contains Mount Rainier. We typically head to the North Cascades, near towns called Winthrop and Mazama. One day we hope to actually live there… and it’s where our wedding will be this September!

For this trip, we stayed in Winthrop with two good friends (one of whom is going to officiate our wedding!). Also, a few weeks ago Sean and I tried out cross country skiing for the first time and really got hooked. So we rented skis, boots, and poles again and went out in Mazama along some easy trails. I shared my initial disastrous attempt on Instagram Stories (it’s highlighted on my profile). I have to say though… our second outing was SO much better! You’ll have to watch the video to see how it went ;)

So tell me: what did you think of this format of blog post? Let me know in the comments so I know whether to keep sharing this type of stuff with you or not!
