5 Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar in Your Daily Life

Apple cider vinegar (also known as ACV) might just be one of the most underrated natural health supplements. Yes, you read that right, ACV actually has quite a few health-related benefits and uses other than being delicious on a good salad. There are just countless benefits of apple cider vinegar. I’ve been incorporating it more and more into my wellness routine and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something affordable and simple to add to yours! Here are a few ways you can use it in your day-to-day life.

5 Ways to Enjoy the Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar in Your Daily Life

When you have a cold

Sometimes jumping straight to traditional medicine isn’t the answer. I try to avoid antibiotics because they mess up my digestive tract and the ph balance of my lady bits sometimes (TMI alert). Instead, grab ACV and combine a tablespoon of it with a glass of water and drink it. I tried this the last time I felt my throat getting scratchy and was amazed. Except I just took a straight shot of the AVC (which you can do, but I don’t necessarily recommend it because it is STRONG). I prefer it diluted tbh. And I’m not the only one who drinks apple cider vinegar… I add it to the chickens’ water.

It’s a natural toner

If you want to use clean, non-toxic beauty products, this is definitely a good way to get started because ACV is actually a natural toner. If you struggle with acne, it’s antibacterial properties can help clear up any blemishes and reduce redness. The acid in it also acts as a natural exfoliator for your skin. Crazy, right?! Plus, the affordability of apple cider vinegar makes it awesome if you’re in a pinch or on a budget.

It can help relieve muscle cramps

Maybe you just had a great workout and you’re nervous about cramping up — especially if you’re just starting to get back into working out like me. Well, it’s ACV to the rescue (again)! All you have to do is mix a tablespoon of ACV with a cup of warm water and raw, local honey and your muscles are sure to relax. I read that it’s recommended to especially do this at night before going to bed.

You can use it to clean and disinfect your house

Like I mentioned above, ACV has antibacterial properties, so it’s great for killing bacteria. This can work for your body (colds, acne, etc.), but also as a non-toxic cleaning product for around the house. In fact, I came across this article from Apartment Therapy that lists 13 ways to clean your entire home using apple cider vinegar. Thirteen.

Said to promote weight loss

If you Google ACV, one of the first things you might read is that it can assist with weight loss. From what I could tell, the weight loss benefits are minimal, but it has been proven to help with making you feel fuller longer, increasing metabolism, and balancing insulin levels. I don’t recommend relying on only ACV for weight loss, but the other potential health benefits might make it worth incorporating into your daily routine.

ACV is pretty magical, don’t you think? It can literally be used for anything! I do want to note that to see any potential health benefits, it’s suggested your ACV contains “mother.”.A friendly bacteria that gives ACV its magical powers. Also, I’ve read that this form of ACV isn’t great for pregnant women, so definitely consult a doctor if you’re expecting.

I’d love to know how else you use ACV and some of the benefits of apple cider vinegar you’ve noticed! Let me know in the comments.
