Happy Friday! How are you?? It’s been a really busy week, especially because I’ve brought on a new team member! Her name is Melissa, in case you notice a new name and face popping up here and on Instagram. It’s taken me about 4 years to get to the point where I could bring someone else on. I had an editorial assistant for a couple of years and she was incredibly helpful, but after she moved on it was really hard for me to find that I could trust someone. Not saying she wasn’t trustworthy, but they were big shoes to fill! Life also threw a ton of curveballs my way and I wasn’t always financially able to commit to bringing someone on, even in a part-time capacity. My recent health scare really put things into perspective and helped me to realize that working weekends, having 16 hour days, always being on… that isn’t how I want to live my life. I NEED balance. Melissa reached out to me at the right time and I am so excited to have her on board. Stay tuned for an even better version of this blog and more!
Keep reading for my must-reads of the week & a recap of anything you might have missed here on the blog — plus don’t forget to sign up to find out FIRST when my social media class launches!

I’ve been searching for one more sweater to add to my closet and striking out every time I go thrifting. I might pick up this one… what do you think?
Ok, maybe I should make these snickerdoodles this weekend, too.
