I shared a tiny glimpse on Instagram into a crazy opportunity back in November, but in case you missed that… I filmed a video with GoDaddy called Pf**ked Up with Pfunder! And it premiered this morning! The premise behind the entire series is that Shawn interviews entrepreneurs over cocktails and talks about their failures. Because, let’s face it, we’ve all messed up in our careers. But what matters is how you bounce back from it and LEARN (see, there’s my 2020 word of the year). Check out the video & see what I talked about when I was on the show!
I thought it would be cool to give you guys a behind-the-scenes glimpse of filming. At one point, I lost track of how many people were on set, operating cameras, sound equipment, directing, and who even knows what else. It was seriously cool — especially because I had no idea that GoDaddy even does this. I think it’s pretty great that they work so hard to share small businesses and their stories.
The coolest part of Pf**ked Up with Pfunder is that there’s an incredible bartender on set… and you’re drinking during the shoot! Yep, those drinks definitely have booze in them (a lot of it, tbh). Jack Sanders, the bartender & mixologist extraordinaire, perused my blog and Instagram and designed a cocktail recipe around that. SO cool. He was kind enough to share the recipe, so you’ll find that below, too.
This experience was totally awesome. It felt so good to chat with someone about the twists and turns of my career path — I feel like we could have filmed for another hour actually. It’s been a wild ride for my career. Even just talking to someone about it helped me to feel more inspired and flat-out excited about what I am lucky enough to call my job!
