My obsession with candles is pretty well-known. I have one burning in our home at all times, basically. Not only do I love the fragrance, but I also love the romantic glow of candles. Tapers, pillars, and jar candles… YES, PLEASE. Lately, I’ve noticed a trend where there are some really fun candle accessories, like snuffers, wick trimmers, and lighters. In case you’re candle-obsessed like me, these candle accessories are just too cool not to share!
Chic Candle Accessories I Never Knew I Needed
Once you get as obsessed with candles as I am, you’ll realize that there are accessories to go with the candles. For example, a snuffer helps to put out the candle… without having to blow on it — and risk blowing wax everywhere. It’s also essential to keep your wicks trimmed. So a wick trimmer is another must-have candle accessory. I keep mine on a tray with the candle itself so that it’s easy to remember to keep my wicks trimmed at a safe length. Remember, it’s best to keep wicks at about 1/4 of an inch in length!

- Diptyque wick trimmer
- Curved pewter candle snuffer

- Stick-Um — I use this for so many things other than candles… but it’s fab for making a candle level or willing in the gap if your taper is too small for the holder.

- Glass candle coaster

Some of these products might feel repetitive to you if you’re a regular reader here. That’s because I feel like any of these candle accessories would make a great gift! Some of these have popped up in my holiday gift guides.

- USB candle lighter
- Modern black candle snuffer
- Soohyang candle lid
- Straight candle snuffer
- Cire Trudon L’Éteignoir — This might be the craziest find of this entire post… and one that I really want to buy and try out. Basically, this snuffer is contoured to gently press the wick without pinching or smothering it, so that you can extinguish the flame without smoke.
- 2-Piece wick trimmer & candle snuffer set
- Green Jay e-lighter — Pretty sure this is designed for smoking, but I don’t see why you couldn’t light a candle with it, too.
- Brass finished snuffer
I’m also working on a post dedicated to my other love, taper candles! And maybe one about match strikers. Let me know which you would like to see first!
