My Ethical Style Picks for Spring 2020

Ever since my No Shopping Challenge, my buying habits have changed. I have never been especially ‘trendy,’ but I enjoy knowing that the trends are. But that doesn’t always mix with wanting to live a more sustainable lifestyle. The constantly updating fashion industry and seasons is hard to keep up with and has quite an impact on our earth. So instead of a trend round up like I used to share, I wanted to round up my ethical style picks today. To me, each item feels like it will ‘live’ longer than one fast fashion cycle — all while being ethically made!

12 Ethical Style Pieces That I’m Eyeing This Spring

1. Cotton Quilted Jacket

I’ve been really into chore coats ever since I got a denim one while thrifting. This quilted jacket feels like a version of that, but much cozier for the cool spring mornings. Typically, I’m weird about coats and blazers without a collar, but it feels appropriate for this style. And, when it comes to wardrobe staples, you really can’t go wrong with an army green!

2. Navy Lacquered Studs

We all know I love anything navy, so these fair trade earrings are an easy addition to pretty much any wardrobe. They literally go with anything.

3. Selam Tote in Bone (use code JOJOTASTIC20 for 20% off through the end of February)

I have been searching for the perfect leather tote for quite some time… and I am here to tell you that this tote IS IT. I love the exterior pockets, the super soft leather, and the straps that are juuuust the right length. Its offered in other colors, too, but the bone shade feels fresh.

4. Clara Wide Leg Crop Jeans (use code JOJOTASTIC20 for 20% off through the end of February)

My love of white denim runs deeeeeep and these crop jeans are absolute essentials in my mind. I can’t wait to wear them on our boat this spring! Plus, they can be dressed up easily with a silk top and heels.

5. Scilia Block Heel (use code JOJOTASTIC20 for 20% off through the end of February)

Leopard is a huge trend this spring. If it’s not your jam, try adding it in with smaller touches, like these sleek and modern sandals. I love the minimal straps and the lower block heel.

6. Organic Cotton and Organic Linen-blend Maxi Dress

I always want at least one statement dress in my wardrobe for summer and this maxi dress takes the cake. Yellow of any form is my favorite color ever, but this sunshine shade simply makes me smile too much not to add it to my wardrobe. It’s a bit of an investment, but I really cannot help myself! Think of how cute it would be with the leopard sandals…

7. Marble Pink Enamel Earrings

These subtle, yet detailed earrings are a really cute addition to any outfit.

8. Off White Lacquer Ring

I love wearing stacks of rings, but sometimes one is all you need. This minimal ring is one that I’d rock on it’s own. I love that it’s modern, yet classic.

9. Large Shopper

I’ve been really into vegan leather bags lately and this blue & black shopper really caught my eye. Totally obsessed with the slouchy style, color combo, and giant size.

10. White Flowy Shirt

Flowy white tops are my absolute favorite, especially during Seattle summers. I love this one for it’s subtle stripes and the super soft fabric made of eucalyptus fibers.

11. Printed Swimsuit

I’m working on a sustainable swimwear post, but this one piece is just toooo good not to share! The print is fab, but I’m especially in love with the cut.

12. Navy Pleated Skirt

Basically, I want to copy this entire look. The star of the show is the navy pleated skirt because it adds just a bit of feminine flair to the overall look. I definitely recommend adding a midi skirt like this to your ethical style wardrobe this spring.

So what do you think of my ethical style picks for spring? I’m sort of in love with all of them!
