9 Things of Note | March 2020

I almost didn’t share this post for March because WHAT A MONTH IT HAS BEEN. But my job is to be a resource for you, whatever that may mean. So I decided to share some things of note that I loved in March, even if we’re not shopping nearly as much. In case you’re in the market for any of these items, I felt it was still important to share my review of these 9 items… especially these new Follain masks! They are soooo good.

As always, please note that a few of these items have been gifted to me. I have indicated that with an asterisk * next to the name of the product. As usual though, I am only sharing what I have absolutely loved and would spend ‘real money’ on regardless.

Follain Hydrating Cleanser: Purify + Nourish*

I looooove this new cleanser from Follain so much. It’s rapidly become my go-to for washing my face in the morning. I love that it leaves my skin feeling clean, but not tight and dry. I’m not wearing much makeup these days, but it’s pretty good at removing concealer from my experience! Plus, it has a pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering at all. If you need a good, basic cleanser that is made of clean ingredients, I highly recommend checking out this one.

Follain Dual Detox Mask: Purify + Resurface*

I have been trying to do a mask every day (it’s on my list!) since we’ve been quarantined. This double duty mask has been in heavy rotation. I love how much smoother my skin feels after it! Plus, it contains all the clean beauty ingredients we love like kaolin clay, bentonite, and papaya extract (which is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C).

Follain Ultra Hydrating Mask: Restore + Soften*

My skin doesn’t tend to get super-dry, but I still like to use a hydrating mask about once a week. I’ve been loving this one from Follain AGAIN because of it’s awesome clean ingredients and because of how soft it makes my skin. I also love that I can use it overnight for a deeper moisturizer.

Vancouver Candle Co. Silentium

This candle was an impulse buy at my local mailbox store and I am obsessed. I bought the largest size and it’s lasted sooooo long. The scent is strong enough to fill our home, too! And omg… this one smells incredible because it has notes of bergamot, lavender, and musk… aka all the scents I love. The combination smells sort of like a really, really good mens cologne.

Silk Scrunchies

My love of scrunchies is long and deep… and these veggie-dyed silk ones have taken that love up a notch. I loooove the variations in color and the feel of the silk.

Olaplex Hair Perfector and Bond Smoother

I’ve been kicking myself for not getting a haircut back in February. My hair is in rough shape, so I’ve been using these 2 products to try to tide me over until I can get a trim again. I use the Hair Perfector about once a month before I do my usual shampoo and conditioner. I swear it helps to smooth my split ends and make it look better! Then, whenever I normally wash my hair, I use the Bond Smoother as a styling creme. It helps to contain my waves in a good way AND smooth the coarser parts of my hair.

How to Dress an Egg: Surprising and Simple Ways to Cook Dinner by Ned Baldwin & Peter Kaminsky*

I received an advance copy of this cookbook and have been loving it so far! It’s organized by dish with multiple variations of each. For example, the hangar steak section has been VERY popular in my house! I also have really loved the simpler ingredients recipes like oil poached garlic. I highly recommend pre-ordering this one and checking it out!

Weleda Skin Food

I picked up this ultra-rich cream because Grace Atwood recommended (and she has the best skincare and beauty recs)… and it has not disappointed! I’m out of 5 Things of Note in February 2020: ABLE, Follain, Sezane & more! at the moment, so for now Skin Food is filling that gap in a big way. If your hands are super-dry from washing constantly, definitely try this one.
