Have you started decorating for the holidays yet? This year I’m going ALL OUT. Not just because we have a new house, but because I am allllll about those cozy cabin vibes right now. Yes, I live in a cabin, but even if you don’t, Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart has so many great holiday decor pieces to get that look. Today I teamed up with them to share 5 ideas to help you bring the hygge home for the holidays!

5 Ways to Get Cozy Cabin Vibes For the Holidays
Layer on the cozy throws and blankets
In my mind, there are never too many throw blankets — especially during the holidays! I love to curl up with one as I’m reading a book… and as you can see, so does Noodle. We’re both really this plaid sherpa throw because it’s soooo soft. Plus, it’s oversized so it’s perfect for sharing. I suggest keeping at least 3-4 throws on hand so that you can always be snuggled up and cozy!
Charming holiday pillows
I have a major soft spot in my heart for holiday pillows. They are just so cute and always make me smile! In the past, I couldn’t really have any because we lacked storage at the bungalow. I always had to be really intentional about what holiday decor I kept on hand… but now we have ALL OF THE STORAGE SPACE. Bring on the holiday pillows!

Create cozy ambiance with flickering candlelight
Nothing quite says cozy cabin like the flicker of pillar candles — faux ones, of course! We used faux candles at our wedding and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to use real ones again for decor like this. They just make it so easy to achieve the perfect flicker without worrying about safety.
Scatter a few lanterns
Speaking of candlelight… I love the look of pillar candles in lanterns! It’s just one more easy way to make your holiday decor even more special — plus you can reuse lanterns like this one and this one a million different ways beyond just the holiday season. Remember when I used these on our front porch for fall? Be sure to mix up the style and scales of lanterns for a curated, collected look.

Serve up cocoa from a holiday mug
‘Tis the season for cocoa, so why not sip it out of a super-cute holiday themed mug?? I love this collection about the 12 Days of Christmas so much. Obviously the one with 3 hens a laying is my mug… but they are all equally festive. The pop of metallic is really pretty, too.
