Let’s take a break from gift guides, shall we? Instead, I am SO excited to share the details of how I styled what i’m calling my cabin chic winter wonderland. I shared a peek last week, but there is SO MUCH MORE. You see, we just moved from a 640 sqft house where I could barely squeeze in a Christmas tree to a 2000 sqft house with 15′ ceilings in some places! And this year has been an utter dumpster fire, so I decided to lean into my holiday spirit and go overboard with the holiday decor. This isn’t even all of our holiday decor, but I was just too excited not to share it with you today!

Take a Tour of My Cabin Chic Winter Wonderland
When we first toured the cabin, the previous owners had a giant hutch in this corner that was blocking the windows. It was so weird. Now that the space is ours, I have a few ideas on what I want to do with this nook longterm… but for now, it is my indoor Christmas tree forest! I also really love that it covers up/distracts from the toothpaste blue walls. IS IT TIME TO PAINT YET.

I arranged the 3 trees in a way that would fill the space, but also make each tree stand out and feel unique. Two of them are pre-lit, but the sparse one isn’t. I used novelty star-shaped lights to make it feel special but not too bright. It was really a balance of figuring out how bright I wanted each one to be!

From there, I just piled on the ornaments. Our trees don’t really have a theme other than cabin chic. I’ve spent years collecting glass ornaments that match our interests… from chickens to camping to vanlife and even my love of Pop Tarts, it’s represented in our mish mash of Christmas ornaments.

Also, I added our favorite lounge chair to the corner so that I can sit and bask in all the good holiday vibes. I especially love when one of our pets curls up and naps there!

Also it makes me SO happy that I can get photos of this set up from the landing!

A lot of this holiday decor is stuff I’ve had for years and years (some is even stuff I designed when I worked at Anthropologie!), but I did my best to list links below to anything I might get a question about. But if I missed anything, leave a comment and I’ll update! Also, stay tuned because I’m also drafting a post that’s all about my favorite sources to score incredible holiday ornaments.
