Oh man, I am so excited that it’s fall especially because it’s our second one here in the cabin. It just gets so pretty! The light becomes golden and the air has a certain crisp smell to it. I LOVE FALL! When Better Homes & Gardens exclusively at Walmart asked me to share a tour of our fall outdoor decor, I mayyy have gone a bit overboard. I couldn’t help myself; they have so many affordable options when it comes to decorating a patio for the changing seasons. Let’s take a tour so you can see how I refreshed our concrete patio for fall!
All The Details of Our Patio’s Fall Outdoor Decor

As you may remember, this is what our patio looked like when I tackled it in the spring. After a super-hot summer, the plants weren’t in great shape anymore (and I might have forgotten to water them…) and I felt like making a change so that the space felt more autumnal.

And here’s what it looks like now! How incredible is that light?? This is why I love fall so much. Let’s breakdown all the details of our fall outdoor decor.
Add fall flowers
I love mums so much because they bring an awesome pop of color to any fall decor styling. I also added some pretty rudbeckia, lavender, and coral bells to give texture. All of the plants you see here are from Better Homes & Gardens exclusively at Walmart and I got them at my local store. The quality is superb and I feel like they last a long time, too!

Add mood lighting
Because it’s fall now, it gets dark early here now. For that reason, I added a few lanterns to the patio to provide some accent lighting. I also rearranged the solar powered path lights so they were nestled in amongst the fall flowers. Some of my lanterns didn’t have lights in them already, so I used fairy lights wrapped around mini pumpkins instead!

Decorate with pops of rich black
Because Halloween is nearly here, I wanted to give a nod to that fun day by incorporating black in my design plan. I love the richness and depth that this basic black tablecloth gives to the overall look and how it coordinates with the plaid outdoor rug. And I embraced it further by styling the table with chic speckled black dinner plates.

Mix and match planters
One of my favorite things to shop for from Better Homes & Gardens exclusively at Walmart are garden pots! They always have so many really cool ones that are also very affordable. For our patio, I mixed orange-y terra cotta with galvanized metal and creamy ceramic for a layered look.

So what do you think of this autumnal update to our patio decor?? Leave a comment and let me know!
