All About the No-BS Pant from American Giant
The fabric
Ok, we allllll know how big of a fabric nut I am because I used to be a textile designer. So let’s start by discussing what these pants are actually made of. These pants are made of a custom-developed knit ponte which is basically what gives them a bit of structure and a bit of stretch at the same time. The pants are thicker than your standard legging and definitely feel more like a pant as opposed to a legging… but they’re stretchy just like a legging. The best of both worlds, honestly.
It’s also worth discussing that these pants are designed really, really well. The fabric has 4-way stretch, meaning that it holds you in and moves with you, but without getting saggy. I always hate when that happens, especially around the knees!
As you can see, Diamond is moping that they don’t make them for pibbles.
The fit
Being fully transparent, I ordered a size 10 and wasn’t totally sure how they’d fit. I’m always hesitant about shopping online and knowing how something will work on my body. But I’m pleased to report that the size 10 is exactly what I was expecting and they fit perfectly.
The style that I’m wearing in both outfits is the high-rise style. There’s also the No-BS pant and the No-BS Kick Flare. I love the high waist and find it to be super comfortable. Plus there’s a pocket! A real-life pocket!

How to wear the No-BS pant
As you can see, I’ve just been wearing my pair with either a cozy sweatshirt layered over a button down for a preppy look. Or with a merino wool sweater and beanie paired with heeled boots for a more edgy look. Both have been great when we have guests over or even just for hanging out at the cabin, decorating our trees.
