Sometimes I feel like there’s a split between what I share here on the blog and what I share on Instagram… specifically our backyard chickens! In an effort to be more transparent about every facet of our life AND to make life a little easier on myself, I’ve been trying to merge to the two more and more. Honestly, I should have shared a chicken lady gift guide last year, but the thought didn’t occur to me! Now that I’ve befriend Kate from Drinking With Chickens (hopefully not against her will), it felt appropriate to curate a gift guide with her in mind. After all, she’s answered countless texts and Instagram videos from me about all the weird crap my chickens get up to… The least I could do is dedicate a gift guide to all the chicken ladies out there. Oh, and maybe include a shameless plug for her newly launched shop!

This post is a bit of a departure from our everyday content, but I hope you enjoy it! In case you’ve been living under a rock (aka not following my Instagram Stories), we’ve had backyard chickens for almost a year. I regularly share them on Instagram as #chickentv and have really come to love the humor and eggs that they bring to our life here at the tiny bungalow. So many of you have asked for help getting your own flock and which resources worked best for us as we were learning, so I thought it was about time for a blog post about them!
