Have you ever wondered what a typical day is like in my life? Today’s the day you’ll find out! I get asked a lot how I manage to run this blog, stay active on all of my social media channels, freelance, consult for brands and small businesses, shoot and edit photos, and a lot more as a team of one. I’m not going to say that it’s easy at all… but I am a very process-oriented person, so there are some tools and systems in place that definitely help me to be more productive. And they just might help you, too! Today I wanted to walk you through what a typical day looks like for me as a blogger and give you a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes.Continue reading “A Day in the Life: How I Run My Blog”

OMG OMG OMG… this is a day that’s about 6 months in the making! I launched in-person classes to teach small businesses how to use social media back in July 2019. After the wedding and my hospitalization and the holidays… I got really behind in publishing the online version of the course. Recently, I decided to stop making excuses and get to it. So today I am beyond excited to announce that the first class in the Jojotastic School of Social Media is officially LIVE and ready for you to register. I wanted to share a bit more info about the classes today, but if you have any additional questions, please leave a comment and I will respond! (I ask that you leave a comment because that helps others see my response to it, as opposed to over DM or email.)Continue reading “It’s HERE: The Jojotastic School of Social Media Online!”
My workspace has been very unsettled ever since last September. I opted to move out of my studio space in order to save money, a decision for which I am so grateful today. After that, I tried to work out of our tiny bungalow, but it proved to be unhealthy in terms of stopping working at the end of the day. We had also just finished making over the living room and just… didn’t want my small space home office to be here! So we moved it 3 blocks north to Sean’s dad’s house. Now that there’s a freaking pandemic, I made the decision again to move my desk back into our 640 sqft home so that both Andy and I can avoid potentially infecting each other. I’ve shared a bit about this on Instagram, but have gotten lots of questions over the past week. So I wanted to share a mini tour of my current home office in case you’re also suddenly working out of your small space!Continue reading “My (Temporary) Small Space Home Office”
I’m no stranger to working from home and working for myself. After 5-6 years of freelancing, I have a pretty firm grasp on what works for me… and what doesn’t. At the end of the day, it’s all about knowing what helps you be more productive. I’ve done a ton of self reflection on this topic and wanted to share what’s worked for me today… especially with the scary news of the Coronavirus because so many more people are choosing to work from home. As someone with a pulmonary condition, I am taking as many precautions as I can and staying home.Continue reading “8 Things That Help Me Be More Productive”
It feels like I blinked and suddenly it’s March and springtime… which means my birthday is next week! To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to style a spring tablescape that could work for so many different spring events (like Easter or Mother’s Day). The inspiration was all of the tiny, happy flowers that are popping up more and more these days. Isn’t spring just the best??Continue reading “How to Style a Simple Spring Tablescape”
