Happy Friday, you guys! Not sure about the rest of the country, but here in Seattle fall has definitely arrived. I can feel that snap in the air and each day feels just a tiny bit shorter than the one before. With this in mind, I decided to take a quick impromptu climbing trip in the middle of the week to celebrate the gorgeous fall weather and get in as much outdoor time as possible before the rain starts. In other words… I played hooky! And it was totally glorious. I watch the sunset (and rise) over the North Cascades, which are referred to as the American Alps, and completed the longest, hardest climb I’ve ever undertaken. Now that I’m back in Seattle, I am so content and inspired by the trip.

Last week Gwen handled the link love because I was off on an amazing week-long road trip down to SF with stops at Smith Rock, Crater Lake, the Oregon coast and tons of other places along the way. It was, to put it lightly, epic. I’m a huge fan of road trips, but especially when they include stops at some of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever seen. Oh, and rock climbing! I’m planning a recap post of the entire trip, so be sure to stay tuned.

Happy weekend guys! So while Joanna is away playing in nature and rock climbing her way down the west coast, I’ll be holding things down at Camp Jojotastic. This week’s bittersweet because the big day party I’ve been throwing every other Sunday over the summer is coming to end. It’s been a lot of work, but so much fun – so if you’re in Seattle definitely come share a carafe of sangria in the sunshine with me (info below). Other than that, I’ll just be jealously watching Joanna’s snapchat updates of mountain sunsets, desert skies and not one, but two wiener dogs! Now time to round the week up with a few of my favs from the interweb.

Plus, a few other new & noteworthy things:

  • I’m in total denial that summer’s ending & crushing hard on these printed linen shorts.
  • … and this set of brass stacking rings to wear with them.
  • desperately wanting/needing these geometric triangle shelf brackets for my loft.
  • speaking of my loft, Poppytalk‘s dispatch from Scandinavia has me full of inspiration.
  • for a fun distraction, check out Tanaka Tatsuya’s miniature calendar.
  • is it too early to start thinking about the holidays? because I just found my new favorite lavender gift ribbon.
  • think I might need everything from Kuwaii’s microcosm ss 15/16 lookbook.

Seattle peeps, need something to do this weekend? Be sure to check out Day Shift on Sunday, September 13!

Happy weekend! It’s been a rainy, moody week here in Seattle and it’s made me realize one thing: I can’t remember the last time I saw rain. After living in California for a year and moving back to Seattle during the ‘dry season,’ I’ve gone without for so long. In the mornings, I pause a little and listen to the rain on my windows and it’s just so nice. Rain, I’ve missed you!

I feel like there’s something in the air, something that is making wayyy more productive than I’ve been in past weeks. Not only am I tackling some major home decor projects in the loft, but I feel like I’m sharing loads of awesome stuff here on the blog, of which I am really proud. Gwen and I also did a brainstorm for some amazing projects we want to tackle for the holidays (yup, we’re really thinking ahead this year!). All I can say is… it’s gonna be great!

This week has been jam packed with excitement and activity, let me tell you… but really, those of you who follow me on Snapchat (username ‘jojotastic’) already know that! I set a personal goal of having my loft settled and totally unpacked by September 1 and that day is FAST approaching. This week, I got a new couch + tv stand, so the living room area is looking great. My next goal is to find the perfect rug and then build my gallery wall. Does anyone else feel totally paralyzed by picking the ‘right’ rug for a space?? For some reason, I can’t actually make up my mind about which one is the one. My deadline is fast approaching though, so decisions must be made!

Also, this Saturday I’ll be hanging out with the HP Sprout Experience Tour at Vloggerfair in Seattle! I’m doing a demo using the Sprout (past posts here and here) and also giving a preview of some exciting projects to come. Head here for more info, including all the other stops on their nationwide tour.

Happy weekend, beautiful people! Doing anything fun? I actually want to do nothing. Not a damn thing. I’ve had so many exciting projects in the works lately and I fiiiinally have a sofa, so I’m keen to curl up with my pets and a stack of books to read. After exhausting everything else by Donna Tartt, I began The Little Friend recently, but would love more recommendations for what to read next!

Plus, a few other new & noteworthy things:

  • does anyone else struggle with using up an entire bunch of basil in a week? Food52 has a great guide on how to actually do it!
  • because I’m busy building my empire.
  • talk about must-shop… the ultimate guide to backpacks on Design Crush.
  • home decor companies are starting to release their new fall pieces… I’m LOVING CB2 right now, especially these rose gold + marble end tables.
  • Paper & Clay is one of my faaaavorite ceramicists and doing a REALLY fun project that needs funding on Indiegogo. Believe me, this is DEFINITELY a must-have.

And check out stuff by me, elsewhere:
