Our mountaintop wedding was just over 6 months ago and I am SO EXCITED to finally be able to share our photos and video with you today! I definitely needed a little bit of a pick me up (because of sheltering in place, morale is a little bit low), so it felt like the perfect time to share ALL of the details from September 7, 2019. BTW I included a vendor list for every aspect of our day. From my dress to rentals to Sean’s shoes… it should all be here! But leave a comment if I missed something and I’ll update the post. Without further ado, let’s look at our wedding photos and videos!!!
The video above is our full length wedding video! I also have the trailer linked below so you can watch it, too.
Now that I’m on the other side of our wedding, I am able to say it was alllll worth it. As stressful and time consuming as the process was, our wedding day was truly wonderful. So I’m here today to tell you that if you’re going down that path instead of eloping (which we definitely considered!), it will get better! I also want to be a resource for you if you’re planning a wedding, so I asked my Instagram followers what I could answer about this process. This list covers wedding venues, what I’d do differently, how to start the process, whether you need a videographer and MORE.
We’re married!!!!! It will be a full week tomorrow and we couldn’t be loving life more. I’m so ready to share more and more details of our special day, but until then, you can see everything I’ve shared on my Instagram. I created a highlight in case you missed anything. Every detail of the day was so special and perfect. And we’re so grateful for everyone’s well wishes for our big day! Trust me, there will be a lotttt of posts coming all about the wedding.
Keep reading for my must-reads of the week, the best sales to shop, & a recap of anything you might have missed here on the blog!
Holy cow. Our wedding is TOMORROW. Somehow I feel like this day has come really quickly, but also has taken forever to get here… all at the same time! I know tomorrow will be a whirlwind of friends, family, and activity. But it’s oh-so-important to me that I’m able to stay present and enjoy each moment. Because of that, I came up with a wedding day self care plan that will hopefully help me stay grounded and in the moment. Here is what I’ve come up with:

Being a blogger has brought me so many incredible opportunities, especially now that we’re getting married. A great example is when Seattle-based bakery Trophy Cupcakes reached out to be part of our big day! We’re lucky enough that they are going to provide the desserts for our wedding — YUM. After calming down from the excitement of receiving that email, I realized we needed to set up a wedding cake tasting session! Then I realized I had no idea what we were doing… so I did some research and wanted to share some cake tasting tips for the future brides and grooms out there.
Being totally frank, I wasn’t sure if I should publish this post or not. There’s a fine line between being transparent and airing my family’s dirty laundry. But I conducted an Instagram poll and got a resounding YES that this is a topic you’re all wanting to hear about, so here we go. Here’s another disclaimer, too: I know that this is public and on the internet and will be seen by my family. I’ve reached a point where I simply don’t care. At the end of the day, I will always be transparent and open with my blog readers. You deserve nothing less. And, quite frankly, this is a conversation that needs to be held in the open so that more women can feel safe in setting boundaries while wedding planning.
I also asked the self-care coach with whom I’ve been working for the past 6 months to chime in. After all, she is the expert! So meet Tami Hackbarth. We’ll both be giving our take on what it means to set boundaries while wedding planning.

My love of Artifact Uprising is veryyy well documented, especially for our wedding. Both our Save the Dates and invitations are from them. I’ve been nothing but happy with the paper quality, printing, and special touches that allow us to customize the designs. It’s been a dream to work with them for our special day! When they reached out to share their new partnership with Zola, I jumped at the opportunity. Let’s dig into that and all the details of our wedding guest book, shall we?
