Prepare yourself because, if you don’t know about Plasti Dip, you’re about to have your mind blown! It’s truly one of my favorite easy DIY materials to use for so many reasons. Basically, Plasti Dip is a rubber coating that air-dries onto pretty much any surface. Since 1972, people have been using it to make handles grippier, but it’s also an incredibly versatile DIY material. Case in point, I used two different types of Plasti Dip to customize these shower bottles for our home! If you’re like us and trying to remove ‘visual noise’ like labels and stickers, definitely keep reading and try this super-easy craft project.

We have a name for my house around these parts, and it’s The McBrawley Home for Wayward Wiener Dogs. Along with our two chickens and one majestic cat, Sean and I are constantly wrangling our two dachshunds: Noodle and Lucy. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Sometimes they bark at the UPS man or chase the chickens around the yard and whatnot, but other times I’ll catch them curled up together on the couch or posing for pictures perfectly (ahem, I’m looking at you Lucy) and my heart just melts. Those are the moments that I love to treat them to something delicious.
Just like my yia yia still to this day makes me her signature Greek soup recipe when I’m home and in need of something extra special and crave worthy, I like to treat my two pups to something that’s premium, hearty and made with love. Kitchen-inspired Milo’s Kitchen® dog treats are made with real chicken as the number one ingredient, they’re high in protein and free of artificial flavors —you better believe these wiener dogs went crazy for them! But I wanted to help share our love of the kitchen and take the #TreatingTuesday experience to the next level, so I decided to dress up a simple mason jar in which to store some delicious chicken meatball treats in a way that blends perfectly with my kitchen decor and is pretty enough to keep on the counter. It’s a great way to take treating and bonding in the kitchen to a new, DIY level. Giving Noodle and Lucy treats is one of my favorite things to do – it makes all of us happy. I especially love to treat them in the kitchen, which is the heart of our home and where memories are made.
Now I just have to explain to Lucy that she can’t actually eat at the table with us every day…

March means 2 things: St Patrick’s Day and spring! A classic gin & tonic is the perfect springtime cocktail for its light, herbal flavor. As is the case with most classics, I like to put a special twist on my G & T, so I teamed up with Truvia to share a delicate cucumber infused simple syrup that’s perfect for spring — with wayyy fewer calories!

With January come and gone, I still find myself focused on my health and fitness goals. I’ve got my trainer and my workout regime on lock, but I am still working on my healthy eating goals — so imagine my excitement when Burt’s Bees reached out to share the news of their new Protein Shakes! I decided to combine my favorite fruit (mango) with the vanilla powder for a delicious, filling smoothie that keeps me energized and feelin’ strong after a good workout.

As I’m quickly learning, cohabitation is all about compromise. One point of contention as of late has been our bedding situation. You see, I’m a fan of the more-is-more approach when it comes to pillows and blankets. Sean, on the other hand, is a warm sleeper and would be quite content with a single pillow. Lucky for us, Parachute reached out to partner on a bedroom refresh! We perused their gorgeous textiles together and came up with a bedding plan that suites both of our needs and tastes.

In light of last week’s news (more on that here), I have some work to do in the house before Sean can officially move in. Our top priority is making sure there’s enough room for both of us to live in #mytinybungalow with all of our stuff until we’re able to do a full-on bedroom renovation (like adding a closet). The first step is a good old-fashioned closet clean-out, so I partnered with Glad to share my best tips and tricks for staying organized in a closet-less home!

Last month was seriously such a whirlwind for me that I didn’t get a chance to share a few of the exciting partnerships and projects I worked on. One of my favorites was co-hosting a DIY event in the Brit + Co Holiday House in San Francisco with Fancy Feast! We gather with over 100 cat lovers to celebrate entertaining and ways you can delight both guests and your kitties during the holidays.
